With the widespread use of the web for information, parents and scouts and adult leaders expect to have rapid and easy access to information about events, outings and plans for the pack, troop or crew.

WordPress is the most widely used and best known software for easily posting information the web.

And as you'll see, it's easy to create and maintain a WordPress blog as a Troop newsletter.

Rather than depending on a single "expert" to keep information up-to-date, many people can share the work with a few having the ability to edit and approve the work that's been done. Updating or adding information to the WordPress blog is no harder than sending email.
