Get in the habit of updating the newsletter/blog as soon as you receive new information.

Involve other adult leaders, parents and older scouts in creating content for the blog/newsletter.

Look at new information that you receive and ask "Would my other leaders and the parents want to know about this?" and if the answer is yes, post the information right away.

It should be possible for you to post something interesting and useful each week.

Once your blog/newsletter has been in place for a while, you can look back a year and take a look at information that was provided last year at the same time. As you know, we often address the same issues and answer the same questions year after year. Make sure that you improve, update and edit the "recycled" material.
